My July Birchbox (partnered with Womans health)

My Birchbox arrived like 3 weeks ago. I have to say its a pretty great box. I'm so happy I got the Cynthia Rowley lip stain sample I chose (sugar is a super pretty pale pink color) I'm also really excited about the Real chemistry 3-minute peel sample , I've been wanting to try that since it caught my eye in the Birchbox shop. So those two are by far my favorites this month but I do like the Naobay body lotion, it's silky and has a nice light lemon scent,great for this time of year. I also got the Number4 super comb prep & protect which I will try,I wasn't a fan of their non aerosol spray but I'll try this because I do like leave in conditioners and lastly I got a sample of Harvey prince imperial gardenia. I absolutely hate floral scents, It's not really a bad scent though and not overwhelmingly strong but it's just not for me. Over all my box was pretty damn good this month.I was really happy with my samples and I even found some new favorite :) I also sent out the card that every subscriber received in their July Birchbox which was good for 1 free year subscription to Women's health magazine,How awesome is that. Just a great added extra,Thanks Birchbox.
Oh and did I mention the box,It was really pretty,I loved the design and all the colors.

Mine and Haley's July Ipsy Glam bags

Here's my Ipsy glam bag that arrived earlier this month. So initially I thought ok not a bad bag but I'm rethinking that after seeing it in person. The Hangten dark tanning oil is a definite NO for me. I'm so white I burn easily and badly too so I need sunscreen and a high SPF,at least 30 or above so this is not good for me. The Bareminerals 5 in 1 cream shadow I thought awesome cause I love the brand and I like cream shadows but seriously it's really small and the color is not very appealing, I'll try it anyway but a different color maybe more suited for summer would have been better. The Lordandberry eyeliner I was excited about, you can never have to many liners but come on, it's like Barbie sized, it's the smallest eyeliner I have ever seen in my life, I'll have to literally apply it by holding it with my finger tips. The Clear clinic acne spot treatment I received is not really a product I need but I do  have a 14 year old son that will definitely get use out of it, I'm hoping it helps with his forever breakouts and lastly the Modelsownofficial nail polish is the only full size product in the bag and honestly my favorite, the color is not really what I would choose but I love nail polish and have been dying to try theirs.It's called Red sea and it looks like a transparent red (jelly like consistancy,pretty thick) with chunky glitter, I think it would look nice over a solid color polish. The bag is super cute and I really like the material,very pretty pink/design.

Here is what My daughter Haley got In her July Ipsy glam bag,Her bag was awesome,I think so at least. (her bag is the picture below)

 It's a great bag,she got a Pixi beauty tinted lip balm in unique pink, it's very light,almost a transparent pink. Popbeauty bronzer ,personally I think it's really dark but it's a great size,i think it's full size.(what I like about pop beauty is that they seal/wrap all the samples. Dermae BB cream and it has SPF 25 ,that's awesome. Purlisse SPF 30 sunscreen that's also a daily moisturizer (really love their products) . And Bareminerals ready eyeshadow ,OMG it's so adorable and the colors are really pretty. She also redeemed her points for the Revlon colorburst lip duo but Ipsy only send one 😕 I already emailed them so hopefully I'll get a response soon because that reward has been sold out for a while (Update on the duo reward,Ipsy responded and sent her the other lip color she was missing,It's a matte pink in the color showy :) Great customer service.

For the Love of Food

I am currently always hungry,seriously.LOL I just always want something different and of course it's never something I have or have that is made already to just eat and enjoy so then starts the cooking, baking or hunting around for what I want if I can't make it myself.
Here are some of my favorite Turkish or Turkish inspired dishes. I made these myself,These are family recipes I learned from my Mom and Family.

Dolma - A Turkish dish which includes ground beef,rice,parsley,salt,black pepper,diced onion,fresh lemon juice and tomato sauce all wrapped up in a grape leaf.

I love Dolma,I have been eating this since I was a child,It's soooo good.I love to eat it with a little plain yogurt :)

Here is my Stuffed pepper dish.It's the same exact ingredients as Dolma (pictured above) except instead of stuffing grape leaves the mixture is stuffed into Green peppers,I also made a stuffed Eggplant but that was for my hubby and he ate it before I could take a picture.

Dr. Scholl's Cozy Cushions Review

I received these Dr. Scholl's Cozy Cushions insoles in my Influenster Rose Voxbox and I instantly thought they were awesome.The insoles are so soft and feel like they would be comfy in an shoe.
I knew where these were going,I have Timberland boots that i love but they are not very comfortable so with winter approaching and it getting cold outside I will of course be needing my boots so I decided that was exactly where these babies were needed.
I was so thrilled when I wore my boots for the time this year and my didn't hurt,These insoles really do add comfort and what's great is that i can just take them out and put them in my other boots or sneakers if i want.
I will definitely get a few more pair of the cozy cushions for my other shoes just so i don't have to swap them out every time i want to wear a different pair pf shoes.
So needless to say they work,If you have shoes,boots or sneakers that you love but just hate to wear them because you don't want to deal with the pain after wearing them try these.They make a world of difference.

Rimmel London Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara Review

I received The Rimmel London Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara in my Influenster Rose Voxbox and I have really been loving this mascara.It creates an outrageously bold, and wide-eyed look without any clumps.
I tried it out and I have to say that I am impressed.I literally have no lashes,Well not long,full noticeable lashes but as you can in the pictures the mascara really made a difference.My lashes look long,bold,full and beautiful.
This is definitely a product I will continue to use and the best part is that you can find it in your local drug store and it's affordable.

Also adding a little fashion style with color colorful hair clips and bold red lips really brings the total look together

My Ruffian Grand Prize

So That prize i won from that birchbox/ruffian contest arrived today.
I'm pretty disappointed and not at all impressed.I know I won these items and they were a prize but i did win the grand prize and I feel like I was cheated out of my time and efforts to try and win a prize that is not even the value of what I was suppose to get. The grand prize winner was to receive over $900 worth of Ruffian nail merchandise and I did not receive that.

 As you can see the prize is not over $900,it's not even worth $900 as stated in the contest description of the grand prize.I spoke with Birchbox and they said it was the company that chose the prize and what to send out so they suck just saying.Seriously it's costume jewelry and not even worth the retail price.Plus the prize looks like they just threw stuff together with no thought.

I only like the necklace and nail polishes.The rest of it is crap and i don't like it.This is not what i would call fashion jewelry but then again we all have different taste and styles.

Birchbox ,My October box came early

I received my October Birchbox early this month.It came on the 8th and the site has not even updated yet to show everyone what we're getting.
Well i'm not complaining,Early is definitely better then late and even better then being on time.
I live in New York City so I pretty much always get my boxes on time.
So this month I think I got a great box,of course I was a little confused with how they packaged the samples but still a really good box.
This month in my Birchbox I received 4 samples.Yeah I know the last two months I received 5 but they do say 4-5 samples so whatever.I am however confused because two items i received are counted as two separate samples yet they were in the came packaging in side my box and you need them both for them to be effective so honestly they should have been counted as one sample together.
Also I am not going to be happy if when the site is updated and I can only review the products together,meaning one review for both of them.I am trying to save up points here to spoil myself so i expect to at least be able to do 4 reviews each month.Ok now that my description/rant is over let's get to my box.

Samples I recieved
Benefit Cosmetics - Fake up - a hydrating concealer.Great i love benefit and wanted to try this out.It's small but i don't mind that plus i love Benefit products.I got 01 Light,Perfect.

Liz Earle - Cleanse & Polish Hot cloth cleanser  - a UK fav two step ritual to purify and exfoliate.A Birchbox exclusive.The box that the two samples can in is so pretty and elegant looking so i'm honestly more impressed with the packaging then the product right now but i will try them.

Liz Earle - Pure Muslin Cloth -  Gently Polishes Skin (See what i mean.the cloth came with the cleanser in the same little box but is still counted as it's own sample yet you need them both to use together)

Pop Beauty - Aqua Lacquer - Sheer Gloss,which pumps and hydrates with jojoba oil.It's also Tinted.I got Flowering Fuchsia,it looks hot pink in the tube and it has a wand.

This was an extra that everyone received this month because it's a favored product by Birchbox
Chap Stick - New Hydration lock chap stick,8 hour moisture.Gives lips a fuller,smoother appearance.It's flavor is Vanilla creme.I personally hate vanilla and don't like to use any chap sticks or lip balms that are not mint.
